Host Home Program

Everyone deserves the OPPOrtunity to be safe, happy, and healthy in their community.

OPPO's Host Home program engages people who are willing to open their homes and hearts to help others.

We carefully match individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with the best home for their needs.

Through host homes, OPPO helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities find a supportive, family-like setting where they can gain independence and form strong, lasting friendships.

Our team evaluates each client's disabilities and needs, then matches them with a pre-qualified and loving Host Home Family.

A host home is a shared living arrangement where people with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) live together in a community member's home. Host homes are similar to adult foster care and are considered a natural setting for people with I/DD to live.
